D-DAY BRITISH AND CANADIAN TOUR
RANVILLE is the first village liberated in the early hours of June the 6th, 1944 by the 6th Airborne Division. The village is the starting point of the tour. We will pay tribute to the very first fallen soldiers who are buried at the Ranville Commonwealth Cemetery.

PEGASUS BRIDGE, where everything started on D-Day. Relive the dawn of June 6th. Discover the amazing capture of the Pegasus and Horsa bridges by the infantrymen of the Ox and Bucks Light Infantry Regiment led by Major Howard.

SWORD BEACH is one of the three anglo-canadian landing sectors. It is the eastern flank of the amphibious attack which had to be secured by the 3rd Infantry Division.

JUNO BEACH, the Canadian landing sector where the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division landed on D-Day. It is the second most murderous sector after Omaha.

Finally, GOLD BEACH, where the British 50th Northumbrian Division landed on June 6th.

ARROMANCHES is a seaside town on Gold which had to be protected and taken from inland by the British soldiers of the 50th Division. The town was needed by the allies because it was where they planned to build Mulberry B, one of the two artificial harbors (the other was on Omaha). Building harbors would facilitate the unloading of supply ships off the Norman coasts.
