How much is it for a guided tour?
​​It is 600€ for a full-day tour with transport. For tailored tours, please contact us, the prices will depend on your interests.
What is included in the tour?
The price of 600€ for a full-day tour includes the vehicle, my services for a 8 to 9 hours tour. This price does not include entrance fees to museums and lunch.
What if I have my own vehicle ?
If you have your own vehicle, then I can step in your car, and the price, for the whole day (8 to 9hrs) is 400€.
What about the pick up point?
As it is a private guided tour, we will pick you up at your hotel, B&B, train station,...
The rates indicated are for tours starting around Bayeux and Caen. If you want the tour to start further away from Bayeux and Caen, ask for the prices and options : for example from Honfleur, Le Havre...
How long is the tour?
The D-Day tours start at 8.30am and usually end around 5.30pm.
Are the tours suitable for children?
Yes, the tours and the explanations will be adapted if there are children in the group. To visit the landing beaches is an educational tool and it can be great fun to visit the bunkers and to see the bomb craters at the Pointe du Hoc.
What to wear?
Keep in mind that Normandy is famous for being rainy and cold! Pack an anorak or a raincoat in your luggage, just in case!
Bring comfortable outdoor shoes because there will be a lot of walking on various terrain.
What about lunch?
Lunch is not included but we will recommend somewhere to eat. Normandy is an amazing place for gastronomy! Don't miss that facet of Normandy.
Are museums included in the final price?
No, museum fees are not included but if you are interested in visiting one, your guide should be able to get a preferential rate.
How to book a tour?
1. Click on the link on the page of the tour you are interested in.
2. Get an answer within the next 24 hours.
3. Leave a deposit of 100€ via PayPal or a secured link from the bank. The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.
4. Get confirmation that the tour is booked.
How to proceed to payment?
For security and facilities, we use a secured link given by the bank. On this link, you actually use your credit card, as if you were paying on a regular website.
Cancellation policy
There is no charge cancellation fees up to 7 days before the tour. However, if the tour is cancelled 7 days prior to the date, the price for the entire tour will be asked.

Where to stay in Normandy?
The closest place to the landing beaches is the medieval town of Bayeux. Caen is a bigger city and also an interesting place to stay.
Bayeux and Caen are both on the main train line from Paris.
Bayeux would be the best place to stay, first because it is a lovely medieval town, then because it is the closest location to the landing sites.
What to do within a day?
Even if France is way smaller than the USA, it has the size of the State of Texas, and the region Normandy is approximately as big as Maryland. So don't you expect to visit everything within a day!
If you want to visit Mont Saint Michel, it will take you the whole day, mainly because of the driving to the island, 3hours back and forth.
So you can either visit Mont Saint Michel or some of the American landing sites within a day. Hence my recommendations about the tours that are doable.
